Personal devices such as smart TVs, gaming consoles, Alexa devices, HomePods, and other home automation devices can be connected to the UWSUPER Wi-Fi network or the campus wired network.
These devices generally do not work with eduroam and must first be registered through the My Devices portal.

Go to mydevices.uwsuper.edu using a web browser.

Sign in using your UWS credentials.

Click Add.

Under Device Name, enter a name for the device. Do not include special characters or symbols.

Under Device ID, enter the device's MAC address. This may also be called the Wi-Fi address or hardware address and can usually be found in the device's network settings.
The MAC address should use a format similar to:

Click Submit.

The device will appear under Your Devices. A Pending status indicates that the device has been added and can be connected to the UWSUPER wireless network.

On the registered device, select UWSUPER from the available Wi-Fi networks.
Wired Devices
If the device will use an Ethernet connection, register the Ethernet/LAN MAC address instead of the wireless MAC address.
The Ethernet port in the residence hall room must also be activated by ResNet before the device can connect.

When requesting port activation, include:
- Building
- Room number
- Whether the left or right port should be activated when facing the window in the room
Note: Each user may register up to 5 devices in the My Devices portal.
