Setting Up Okta After Getting a New Phone

If you get a new phone, you may need to set up Okta Verify again before you can complete multifactor authentication with your UW-Superior account.

If You Still Have Your Old Phone

  1. Download and open the 𝗢𝗸𝘁𝗮 𝗩𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗳𝘆 app on your new phone.
  2. Select the 𝗣𝗹𝘂𝘀 (+) icon to add an account.
  3. When the import option appears, select 𝗦𝗸𝗶𝗽.
  4. On the QR code screen, select 𝗦𝗶𝗴𝗻 𝗜𝗻 𝗜𝗻𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗮𝗱.
  5. In the 𝗦𝗶𝗴𝗻-𝗜𝗻 𝗨𝗥𝗟 field, enter myapps.uwsuper.edu.
  6. Sign in with your UW-Superior account.
  7. Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the Okta Verify setup on your new phone.

If You Do Not Have Your Old Phone

If you no longer have access to your old phone and cannot complete Okta verification, the Technology Services Help Desk will need to reset your authentication methods.

You can either call the Help Desk or visit the Help Desk in person.

When visiting in person, you must bring a valid photo ID so that Help Desk staff can verify your identity.
